Falna city Introduction
Falna town is an important industrial town of the District of Pali in the State of Rajasthan. As per census 2011, the population of Falna was 24864 and it is now estimated, around 35000. The Municipality was set up no November 1/1983. The Office of the Municipalty is situated at State Highway No-16 on Jodhapur-Sanderao -Udaipur Highway. Falna is world famous for the manufacturing of Umbrellas, T.V. Dish Antena agricultural equipments, etc. It is situated near the tourist and religious important sites of Ranakpur, Nathdwara, Udaipur etc. The town itself has an important tourist and religious place''Shri Parshwanath Jain Golden Temple'' situated on the main State Highway. More importantly, Falna is linked Delhi-Ahmedabad-Mumbai Broad-Guage Railway Line. Thousands of passengers start their journey from Falna everday and also Falna link with Most valueble Project Corridoor Railway line, As such, Falna has its seprarate and unique identity.
Falna town is situated at latitude 25° 11' north and longitude 73° 17' east south-east of District Head Quarter Pali. The town is at 8 K.M. distance from sub-division and it is Panchayat Samiti Head Quarter of Pali District. It is also growth center of its hinterland. Many important Government Administrative offices as Executive Engineer Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Executive Engineer, PHED, District Industrial Officer, District Factory and Boiler Inspector, etc. are located in the town It is important industrial town with specialized technology of manufacturing such as umbrellas, dish antenna, steel products, agricultural implements, Gum Glue Products, etc.
The town is situated in the semi-desert part of the Western Rajasthan and it is surround by the boundaries of the districts of Jodhpur, Rajsamand, Sirohi and Jalore, The town is also a prime place for agriculture and allied activities. Surrounding areas of Falna are large scale producers of various crops like wheat, sarson, mucca, moong, chana, cotton, etc.
