The naming of the city was on Bikaner Maharaja Ganga Singh's grandson named Mr. Gajsingh. Gajsinghpur the historical background in the former was known as the crnauli.
The arrival of the railway line in 1925 , the region's other towns of the city in 1928 after it was linkedto the accessibility of the area to be included in the main canal Ganga Canal irrigated area, resulting in the 1930 Market was established. Mandi tehsil and after the eatablishment of the arrival of other families originated in the city.
Historical Places : - Pond and Religious place in this city, is situated. Shri Satyanarayan Temple, Baba Ramdev Ji Temple, Sri Durga Maa Temple the ancient temple of Shri Shiva is located.
Geographical situation :- Being located in the Thar Desert, the climate is warm and dry vartually the entire year. Around the city and in the Ganga Canal city project currently being fed almost the entire sub-tehsil area is green.
Climate : - The coming of the monsoon in the city remains uncertain. The average rainfall is about 247 mm in the Present. The Climate is hot & dry.

Besides the two public and six private high school, first official high priority and 4 private, one public and three private Elementary School is located which is the 3600 Student studying.
