Jaipur Municipal Corporation was established in the year 1994 under Rajasthan Municipality Act 1959. The Jaipur Municipal Corporation is responsible for the maintaining the city’s civic infrastructure as well as carrying out associated administrative duties. The administrative head of the Municipal Corporation is the Commissioner from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS).
