General Profile :

Viratnagar is considerde as an important & a historical town within the jaipur region. The town is located in the northern direction of jaipur city and is at a distance of about 20 kms by road on National Highway (NH-8) towards Jaipur-Dehli. As per the revenue records the area of Viratnagar is 31.7 Sq. Kms. Viratnagar is famous for its historic background. The historical background of theMahabharata , the Gupta period , and is associated with the Mughal period. The main historycal places are Mugal gat, Ganeshji Giri, jain nasiya, Bheemsen pahari, Beejakji etc. This is one of the major town of the jaipur-Alwar highways(NH-13)

2-Physiography : Climate – Viratnagar is located in semi-arid Zone. The town 27 ̊27 ' North Latitu and 76 ̊11' east longitude on the mean sea level , is located at an altitude of 430 meters

A.   As per Indian meterological Departo the mean minimum temp recorded in month of January which is 2.10c and maxumim in the month of may and june i.e 44.30c.

Annual wear rainfall recorded is 250.mm. The months of July and August recorded maximum rainfall coase loamy soils. Here the soil is black loam and brown clay and gray clay

B. Ground water – The Ground water in the Settlement is generally found at a depth ̊of 250 feet. The quality of water is not good and it is noving high fluoride containt.

2- Demography : The population of Viratnagar town was 17242 as per censes 2001. In 1991, the population of the town was 13,169 recording a decadal growth rate of 30.92%.
