The Ancient Name of Kherli Town is JaiGanj which was Name by Maharaja Jaisingh. Presently it is popular as Kherli Ganj. Municipal Board is Build up in 1944. At Present there are 20 Wards In Kherli Town. Kherli Town is Situated at Alwar- Bharatpur Border Area. It is Well Connected to Agra- Jaipur Railway Broad Gauge Line. It is Situated 12Km Away From sub Division Kathumar, 142 Km From State Capital Jaipur & Approximately 80 KM Away From District Head Quarter Alwar. Surrounding Kherli there is Almost Agriculture land which have good fertility ,due to which different types of crops are grown here. Kherli is Famous for Agriculture Product & Marketing Board. The farm produce is brought to the grain mandi of Kherli which is a well-known grain mandi (Anaj mandi) of eastern Rajasthan. Dholagarh Mata Mandir is spiritual place near kherli(30 KM), DANTWAD is famous for dantwad's temples & pahad parikrima (9KM from kherli & 1KM from Dantia railway station) and GHATA-BHABAR is also famous for hanuman temple (10KM from Kherli). Kherli is well connected by Indian railway. It is located between Jaipur-Bandikui-Bharatpur railway line(broad gauge). Town's main market is stretched from Bajaja bajaar, Jawahar chowk (landmark-Moti Dairy) to railway station.
